HANNOVER MESSE 2010, April 19-23, Hall 27, H60
16th Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells
Closing Press Release
Munich. At the HANNOVER MESSE 2010, 141 exhibitors from 22 countries showcased their latest products within Europe's biggest exhibition for hydrogen and fuel cells. Despite major complications in international travel, participants seemed pleased with the trade fair week.
Due to the high number of non-European exhibitors at the Group Exhibit H2+FC, around 20 booths were without their originally planned personnel. However the majority of these exhibitors received back-up support from their European partners/distibutors. By opening day, only six booths remained unmanned. Even on Day 3 and Day 4, representatives were still arriving at the week-long exhibition. While this situation inevitably resulted in fewer international visitors, exhibitors used this opportunity to nurture their contacts within the Group Exhibit H2+FC community. The visitor count improved substantially by the third day, Wednesday.
The premier combination of the Group Exhibit H2+FC with the topic Renewables and the new trade fair MobiliTec proved to be a great success. Only at the HANNOVER MESSE can visitors witness interconnected technologies all under one roof (this year in Hall 27). Solutions are found through synergy: hydrogen produced by renewable energy powers a fuel cell which, in combination with batteries, increases the range of an electric vehicle.
In addition to several vehicles, Hall 27's highlights included the Antares DLR-H2 airplane, a hydrogen-powered boat, stationary fuel cell systems and portable applications. Furthermore visitors could try out fuel cell-powered vehicles at the 8,000 m² Ride+Drive just outside of the hall.
After 16 years of successful cooperation, Oliver Frese who is responsible for HANNOVER MESSE's Energy trade fair, bid farewell to Arno A. Evers, the founder of the Group Exhibit H2+FC. Based on a 5-year contract, the Group Exhibit H2+FC with all its valued services will continue to be organized by Tobias Renz FAIR.
Already 50 exhibitors have registered for the Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells at the HANNOVER MESSE 2011, April 4-8. Around 120 exhibitors from 25 countries are expected to participate.
