NGK INSULATORS, LTD., Japan have succeeded in developing and commercializing NAS Batteries which store large scale energy for the first time in the world using our unique ceramics/manufacturing technologies. Our compact, long-life and high efficiency NAS Batteries can contribute to reducing energy cost and environmental impact by cutting peak, supplying backup power and stabilizing renewable energy. As of March 31, 2011, NAS Batteries storing 305,000 kilowatts of electricity have been in use in 174 locations including Japan and 5 overseas countries (USA, UAE, Germany and UK). NAS Batteries will be presented at the booth of NGK INSULATORS (Hall 27, Booth E 71) at the Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells, HANNOVER MESSE 2013.
