Company profile:
LEAN CAT is a fuel cell technology consortium formed by leancat ALARMS, IQ Structures and Charles University Prague.
LEAN CAT unique technology allows a significant reduction in the cost of the catalyst required for this process by reducing the platinum loading. We have been able to reduce the amount of platinum on the anode by 99% and significantly reduce the amount of platinum on the cathode. We use extremely LEAN films and advanced nano-technologies to further decrease the amount of platinum in the required CATalyst while maintaining high power output and prolonging the life span of the fuel cell.
LEAN CAT consortium also developed proprietary fuel cell TESTING STATION and software designed to simulate real-life conditions and allow long-term tests to be performed as well as specially designed short-term tests. Using fully automated components, state-of-the-art analytical methods and tailored control software the testing station is suitable for academic research as well as for industrial applications. 10 fully working stations have been delivered to Fuel Cell Testing Laboratory at the Charles University, which can also serve as reference centre for potential customers.
