|Hydrogen + Fuel Cells NORTH AMERICA
at SPI 2018, Anaheim
SOLARPOWER International (SPI 2018)
September 24-27, 2018
Anaheim Convention Center
Anaheim, CA, USA
Berlin, Germany (August 16, 2018)
|Store Solar Energy – Make Hydrogen|
- Market leaders present the storage of renewable energy through electrolysis
- Honda, Hyundai and Toyota will offer fuel cell cars for a ride
- Toyota will present a fuel cell system for a fuel cell car
- Nikola Motors will inform about hydrogen-powered trucks, Nel Hydrogen speaks about hydrogen fueling, several discussions are offered in our forum every day
One of the major topics of Hydrogen + Fuel Cells NORTH AMERICA will be the storage of renewable energies. Wind and solar energy can be stored through the production of hydrogen via water electrolysis. Nel Hydrogen, Hydrogenics, H-TEC SYSTEMS and Enapter will inform about their latest electrolyser technologies.
Take a ride in a fuel cell car
All visitors of SPI 2018 get the opportunity to ride the following fuel cell cars:
Honda Clarity, Hyundai NEXO and Toyota Mirai. The Ride & Drive area will be located in front of the exhibition hall, the cars will be featured by the California Fuel Cell Partnership.
Experience a fuel cell and hydrogen bus trip
SunLine Transit Agency will provide a fuel cell bus to visit a running hydrogen fueling station from Air Liquide in Anaheim, CA. Visitors have the chance to learn about hydrogen vehicle refueling. At the second stop, visitors will see a Bloom Energy fuel cell system providing 24/7 onsite power generation and backup power for a large public venue. The tour times will be: 11:00 to 13:30 and at 14:00 to 16:00 (September 25, 26). The starting point will be Transit Plaza, roundabout.
Building up a hydrogen infrastructure
Air Liquide informs about the expansion of their hydrogen refueling station network in the US, allowing the use of hydrogen as a clean source for zero-emission fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). The fueling nozzles will be presented by the market leader WEH Technologies.
PDC Machines informs about SimpleFuelTM, a fully integrated hydrogen generation, compression, storage and dispensing appliance capable of delivering up to 5kg/day of hydrogen to vehicles at pressures up to 700 bar. Several hydrogen compressor companies like Haskel, RIX Industries, Andreas Hofer, HyET Hydrogen and Hydro-Pac inform about their latest developments. Hexagon Composites shows high-pressure vessels to store natural gas and hydrogen for the use in mobile and stationary applications.
Components for fuel cells
A fuel cell is a device that combines hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity, heat and water. Exhibitors like Aperam, Borit and Graebener and will inform about bipolar plates, the main components of fuel cells. Continental Automotive a global leading automotive supplier will showcase fuel cell valves for the air path.
Learn more in our forum
Exhibitors and leading industry experts will feature a comprehensive forum program, including company presentations and interviews. Additionally the central topics will be discussed: How to connect the solar industry and the hydrogen industry? Storage of solar energy: through the production of hydrogen or in batteries? Fuel cell electric vehicles and hydrogen infrastructure: deployment and issues.
Heavy Duty Fuel Cell Trucks on the Road!
Jesse Schneider, Executive Vice President, Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Technologies, Nikola Motors will be speaking in the forum about: “The Case for Heavy Duty Fuel Cell, Class 8 Trucks and H2@Scale”.
Information about the fair
The topics of H2+FC NORTH AMERICA will include hydrogen generation, storage and transportation, fuel cell systems and applications, stationary-, automotive-, mobile fuel cells, special markets, components and supplying technology, fuel cell and battery testing.
SPI 2018 is expecting 700 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors from across the solar industry and adjacent industry sectors. The Energy Storage International (ESI), with more than 160 exhibitors the largest energy storage event in North America, will be co-located with the SPI as well.
